Countdown for the 31st Negros Trade Fair
Today, June 6, 2016, is the start of the countdown for the 100 days to go before the 31st Negros Trade Fair which will run from September 14-18, 2016 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
The Negros Trade Fair is a non-profit program of the ANP (Association of Negros Producers, Inc.) which aims to provide the micro, small and medium enterprises of Negros an affordable venue to showcase their individual ingenuity and a platform for domestic or possible export trade. It is also the country’s longest-running provincial trade fair held annually in Metro Manila.
Now on its 31st year, the trade fair showcases the best of Negros products and services from ANP members and Negrense manufacturers. Products ranging from food, natural and organic, fashion accessories and garments, furniture and furnishings, gifts decor and housewares and tourism will be presented. Social enterprises also get a chance to present their products at the fair to support their advocacies.
The NTF 2016 highlights tourism with the main focus on the richness of biodiversity on the island, thus bannering on the theme “Biodiversity in Tourism”. The newly formed Negros Island Region is home to many species of plants and animals. It is an unspoilt destination for bikers, hikers, adventure lovers, foodies, and travellers who want to experience the sweet life. It is One Sweet Spot!
The NTF has tied up with with the Province of Negros Occidental, DTI- NIR, the Philippines Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, the Philippine Reef & Rainforest Conservation Foundation, NITI, ATON, PROS Architects and Planners, and the Slow Food Movement of Negros, among others, to bring you this year's event. The trade fair serves as an avenue to communicate the messages they are advocating.
The NTF is encouraging every Negrense to support this project by inviting their family and friends in Manila to come to the event and be proud of the products of Negros. For inquiries, please call (034)434-1000.
